Long summer days mean plenty of time for family fishing on the rivers of western Montana. Getting young people on the water is worth the effort, and seeing them land a fish for the first time is priceless. Young kids might be more interested in tossing rocks than tossing tight loops, but theres plenty on the river to enjoy for everyone. One thing is for sure: kids love bugs. Take a kid to the river, find a creepy crawly and watch them light up. Show them a fish eating that bug and they’ll be wrapping leaders around your head in no time. Here’s to getting them out early, and sharing our sport with the next generation, and a #tbt shots full of sun and kids.
