Summer is in the air, and high water and flood warnings around western Montana have the Missouri river taking the focus of the guide traffic, with smart anglers taking the time to wet a line on the many ponds and lakes around the region, where big fish have been bulking up. While we wait out the runoff, here’s a little throwback to the early days of the season before the big water pushed through. Sun and wade fishing is in the near future, but for now here’s a to the pre-runoff bump and all it’s glory, and a #throwbackthursday shot of calmer waters on the Clark Fork.
