Meanwhile in Idaho…

While we’re busy crushing browns on the dry fly in between rain storms, Missoula local Court Hadden has been taking a respite from the shuttle rig and getting into some big fish and solitude in Idaho. A nice change from gas station food and dirt roads, and a chance to get out on the river and toss a few bugs to the natives. These shots make us think about a road trip…
Westslope cutthroat rising to hopper patterns, without another boat in sight. Court Hadden plans his vacations well.

Wildlife has been active in the Teton valley. Eagles, deer, and even some moose.

You should always cast away from the moose. Always.

Have raft, will travel. In the rocky mountains, the best way to access the fishing is from a boat.

The end of an epic day on the water. Trout don’t live in ugly places.
