Weather records are being broken here in western Montana, and the trend isn’t anything we hope for to sustain a long and healthy fishing season. Hot temps, low precipitation, long periods of no rain, and low stream flows are all setting up one crazy summer. With the weather the way it’s going, its time to get out on the river now while you still can find great fishing. You’ve got to make hay while the sun shines, as they say. The weather predicted this week and beyond is only getting hotter, so we’ll see what that means for fishing but currently things are great on all of our rivers, so make some time to get out there and visit with the fish, and wave your magic rain-making rod at the sky for us.
