Clear Skies and Cool Mornings

The smoke that caused a mass freakout in Missoula for the past few days has been pushed out by a cold front that couldn’t have come sooner for those looking to find some fall fish and some spectacular views this week. The smoke meant empty boat ramps all weekend, and low counts of boats on the rivers, so if you did manage to find a way to brave the hazardous breathing conditions the fishing was excellent.

Those who were lucky enough to watch the cold front push the smoke out of the valley were treated with some amazing views. Photo via newstalkkgvo.com

This week the cold weather will help those streamer fiends find some willing fish, and should make for some comfortable floats and a bit of breathing room now that kids and college students are back in classes. Lets just hope the weekend stays chilly, because we all know a spike in temperatures in the early fall brings on the dreaded college bro tube hatch in a big way. Get out while the getting is good!
