Compared to last week’s chilly, cloudy fall weather, this week is a tropical oasis. What does that mean for the fishing? Well, the waders can go back on the hook in the garage and the hoppers can come out to really twitch a big one up. Fish that are conditioned for getting those big meals by the chilly start of fall love a good warmup. Things happen in the fall when the temps jump up, and a 20 degree temperature swing makes some of those big fish a little more likely to grab the big stuff, more bugs to hatch, and generally good things to happen. But keep the waders handy, it ain’t gonna last forever.
