This fly is downright dirty, with lots of bells and whistles. Usually I shy away from the kind of additions to a fly that seem to be geared more for catching anglers than fish, but in this case I’ve really liked fishing this fly when I get the chance. Tommy Lynch has put a lot of thought into this one, and all the little improvements actually help this fly do it’s thing. It moves like the name: drunk and disorderly. Weaving and dipping, twitch it and it gets frisky. And as the tying season really kicks into gear, it’s worth getting a few big streamers out of the way that test the skills and look awesome in the box. Fire tiger is the new black, and it’s trendy for trout but this fly works in all variations. The smaller sizes are a blast to tie, and even better to fish.
