Zebra Mussels in Montana

Water samples from both Canyon Ferry and Tiber Reservoir have tested positive for the larvae of aquatic invasive mussels, commonly known among fly fishing circles as “Zebra Mussels.” Read the article from the Helena Independent Record here. As a result, Glacier National Park has closed boating inside the park in a preventive measure that state officials hope can curb the spread of this highly destructive presence in our waterways, according to reports from the Billings Gazette. Clean, wash, dry. Repeat.
