One Fly For A Year

Yvon Chouinard is an original. Founder of the Patagonia clothing company, avid fly fisherman, and a man that dared to fish one single pattern for a whole year, no matter the conditions. One style of fly. For a year. Is it something you want to do? You should. It might change your whole fishing game. Or it might not. Maybe you’re of the opinion that the pattern matters more than the presentation, that fish are counting legs and looking at your flies and noticing that you used too much dubbing in that one spot… I’m of the opinion that they could care less. Or more… Or a little. But one thing is for sure, the pheasant tail and partridge is something you should tie on to whatever hook is in front of you and give it a whirl.
